| Painting and Gluing
Model Now the time has come to prime the model. When I started this part, I found that it was best to work with piece's of the Voyager model unglued, as they came in the box, because when it came to use the Air brush or to add small detail in places with a 00000 paint brush it was easier to handle these parts, rather than have a complete bulky model. TIP! Remember always when working this way that parts that have been painted, |

with an airbrush that they still need to be
glued and that the glue needs the plastic on both parts of the model to bond together
properly. If not the glue eats away at the paint trying to adhere to the plastic and
can cause an awful look to the model. Trust me!!. This model was the first that I learned
to use an Airbrush and allot of mistakes where made, so you reading this can avoid the
same things I did not. :-). |

When you find that there are no grid lines to work with, hold the masking against the hull at a right angle to the overall shape of the part the weathering is being applied. When all the parts have been completed allow to dry thoroughly. To "Blend" in or "Tone Down" the weathering effect using the base colour again No. 127 Lightly apply a 'mist' coat over all parts of the model. Please remember to mask off any areas of the model, clear parts etc. that might be effected before starting this procedure. |
